Missed connection, stuck at warrington as the track is on fire. They can't get coaches because of the football. We just have to wait. Arg

Oh, ack. Hope you don't end up waiting too long.

Wow! the track's on fire? Must be the wrong sort of sunshine.

The missed connection is one thing (you don't say why) but with regard to all the other grief - I've read your later posts - write to the Train Operating Company involved. The very least you should get out of it is train vouchers, and they'll have an extra bit of ammunition for screaming at Network Rail (because of the fire which is their business). I got back from London one time too late for the last bus because of a delay - quite a long one, and the catering staff weren't on board - and when I wrote I got a nice letter, a cheque for my cab fare and vouchers to the same cost as my original return ticket.

I worked for a while in Customer Relations of a TOC, and believe me, they do take these things seriously.

I was stuck in Warrington for eighteen years, once. I hope you've got away faster than that. :-)
