I just saw this video linked on friendsfriends. Generally I don't watch videos that I see linked (I'd rather read something, and often I'm on a connection that does not approve of streaming, or I can't have the sound on), but this was described as amazing rope jumping, and oh my GOD it is absolutely AWESOME.

I like things that are in unison anyway (it's part of why I like cheerleading so much), so I would have been pleased if the only thing they really did was skip at the same time, but it's SO MUCH MORE. It just keeps getting more and more awesome over the whole 7 minutes. Another part of the appeal for me is that it's at a Naval college competition (I think), and the crowd gets really into it, and there are cadets cheering so hard for these schoolgirls jumping rope because they're SO GOOD.

That is one hugely talented and hardworking set of young women. I adore the way they make their different heights work in the different routines. The audience was with them all the way - I hope they had a blast doing that performance.
