I had a look at wordnik, which I like. It suggested that I could expect to see "fun" a few times a month. HOW I WISH THAT WERE TRUE. (Bugger has a not unexpected concentration between 1920 and 1950.)

Also, [livejournal.com profile] antisoppist linked to Greyladies, and I want LOTS. I have actually got one of the Susan Scarlett (Noel Streatfeild) books, and the Josephine Elder, but at the time that I bought them I couldn't find a website, and now I am pleased. I should probably wait until my Persephone order comes through. But I don't want to.

I got Miss Buncle's Book, Making Conversation, and The Young Pretenders. All newish ones - but I don't have time or space! I am seriously considering taking a week off in September/October and going somewhere just to read. I might be due a break then anyway, and it would make me feel less guilty about the huge amount of books I haven't read.

Have you not come across that before? RoW is fairly standard to lots of the things I see. They have it in football sometimes.

A reading holiday sounds like just about the best idea ever. A nice week somewhere (with an open fire and comfort food!) in October sounds absolutely blissful.

(And RoW is official post office designation for prices, which is probably why they've adopted it)

Yes, I know! But [livejournal.com profile] anglaisepaon is not in the UK, so she won't know about the vagaries of the Post Office.

The more I think about it, the better an idea it sounds.

Nice choices! I have Miss Buncle's Book, which is wonderful and happy-making, and not just because Bex surprised me with it.

A week off for reading sounds like a great idea. And justification for buying a few more books, too, and then telling us about them.

I've not seen it before, but then, I don't really watch sports.
