Miscounted backstroke

This morning when I was swimming I miscounted my backstrokes and smashed my head into the tiles. And the week is going to continue to be this horrible until about Thursday evening.

It would comfort me greatly to know that it is not in fact the case that everyone else is doing brilliantly, so if you would like to have a grump in the comments, that would be lovely. Sod positivity.

I am completely paranoid about crashing into the end wall doing backstroke as well, and so frequently end up stopping about three feet before it "just in case" and look like an idiot. Though at least do not have a sore head - poor you!

My swimming grump from yesterday: people who get into the medium lane and then do a sort of slow inept doggy paddle while everyone else in the lane gets stuck behind them. Bonus points if they don't actually let anyone pass them out when they get to the end, necessitating slightly chaotic overtaking action.

Recently the pool has been quite crowded, and there have been people doing BUTTERFLY. Everyone else is swimming so as to avoid crashing into each other or taking up more room than is right, but no, Mr Fuckwit has to show off his absolutely inconsiderable talent and make everyone get out of the way.

Also I hate people who swim in tandem and take up about the width of three individual people in the process.
