Hello. People aren't posting much. Maybe people think that they don't have enough content for a post? In which case, you could tell me as a comment.

Or, maybe you would like to tell me a SECRET. Or just MESS WITH PEOPLE'S HEADS. Or say something you want to say but without your name attached: ANONYMOUS COMMENTS.

(Because I am a horrible person, whenever I see posts that admonish people to "play nicely", I want to leave filth-ridden comments excoriating all their near and dear. So I'm not saying that.)

I like anonymous comments even when I pretty much know who they are. I'm glad you're enjoying Cheer!. When I have money again I'm going to get even more cheerleading books. I love them so. Also books about sororities.

I'm at the point now where they're at Nationals and we're finding out winners. It's like I'm watching it on tv and rooting for them all. Although I cannot cheer myself since I am reading it at work during lunch.

It's properly gripping! And the nice thing about them being in different groups is that you can desperately want them ALL to win, and not have to make choices about favourites.

Yeah, I didn't realise that in the beginning so I was trying to decide who I liked best. I think I'd have gone with All-Girl if that were the case.

[identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
I love All-Girl! I can't believe that they get the leftovers from the mixed squad, and that people don't think that girls can cheerlead properly without boys. Grr.

There're cheer fit classes that I might well go to if I get to live somewhere where they happen. Basically it's leaping around with pompoms. I like the sound of that.

Yeah, they don't seem to get as much respect, which is stupid since they're hurling other women about and have to be very strong.

I would love to go to cheer fit classes. I would be rubbish at it, but I bet it's good fun. I wonder if they do one near me...

They have them in central London: details here. Ooh, they're walk-in. And I'm in London on Sunday... do you want to go?

[identity profile] cellardor.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
That's the one I was looking at, although the Mondays on Gower Street. But yes, I can do Sunday. Let's go cheer!

Yay!

(I have just bought this. Oops.)

[identity profile] cellardor.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 02:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Ha. You are obsessed. But that is not a bad thing.

[identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 02:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, arse. I forgot about the hideousness of Sunday trains when they are digging up the track at weekends, WHICH THEY ARE.

Ooh, but, the last train on Monday night leaves at 8.30, so there'd be time for me to go to the Monday evening one and still get home. I was going to go home during the morning on Monday, but this way I could use the day to go to museums, or even do some work in the LSE library. Are you free Monday evening?

[identity profile] cellardor.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 02:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Stupid trains. But yes I am free on Monday and it is v easy for me as it's on my doorstep. Ooh yay. Really looking forward to making a fool of myself. :)

Excellent! I assume as it's drop-in there's no way of booking, but just show up in plenty of time so that we get a spot. Where/when is easiest for me to meet you?

[identity profile] cellardor.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 03:08 pm (UTC)(link)
It's literally across the road from work, so I can meet you there at 6? Do you think that's early enough?

[identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 03:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep, that sounds good to me! YAY!! I can't believe I've only just remembered that I have this icon.

I have no idea what to wear. I think I might have some sort of legging things and a long t shirt.

[identity profile] cellardor.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 03:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I will probably dig out my usual keep fit attire. Not that it's been used in an age.

[identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 03:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Indeed!

I mean, it's probably very much like aerobics, which I hate, but the pompoms make all the difference.

[livejournal.com profile] cellador and I are going on Monday, want to join us?

[identity profile] snowballjane.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 04:16 pm (UTC)(link)
I fear it might interfere with my schedule of "training like mad for Nationals" next week, which is a shame, because any other time, I'd love to.

[identity profile] cellardor.livejournal.com 2010-02-17 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Dude, there is a cheer fit class across the road from where I work. I should go!
