Missed advertising hooks: if you accidentally spray natural deodorant in your mouth it tastes much better than the chemically stuff.

Yesterday I accidentally put my mooncup in sideways. It sort of popped out before I was ready for it. When I tried to push it round it went the wrong way so it was upside down. And then I couldn't get it out, because in addition to being upside down it was also caught on my cervix.I was very very calm about this, but just when I was deciding very very calmly that I would probably have to go to casualty, I managed to unhook it. Sore cervix, but no doctors.

I've always found tampons exceedingly uncomfortable - they always ended up doubled over inside me. I have a retroverted uterus which may or may not have something to do with that. I've also not had children. So I'm generally not comfortable with the reality of internal menstrual products even though I know many people who love their mooncups. :-) Lunapads have worked well for me - they're much more comfortable than disposable pads.

I sometimes use cloth pads now, and they are amazingly more comfortable than disposables.

I was amazed by the difference even though they're bulkier.

I need to get some new ones - mine are wearing out a bit and fraying, but I think I've had them about four-five years, which means I've got plenty of use out of them.

Some of mine have skulls on them.

I'm quite happy with tampons, but I've been thinking of trying Lunapads lately. It seems that the older I get, the more sensitive my skin gets everywhere. Not a great place to have irritated skin. But really, I just want to say I have pirates in my pants.

Also...ouch.

The pads are great. I got most of mine from etsy, and they are very cool. Pirates in your pants!

Fair enough. And if you don't have the straight length to fit it in, I imagine a Mooncup would be just as bad as a tampon. They are more comfortable generally, because they do fit what you are, as they're more space than object.

Mooncups are great, but they probably won't work for me, alas. I haven't ruled it out completely - I know they come in different sizes and recommend the smaller size for people who haven't had children.
