I KNOW RIGHT. I am still incandescent with rage. Apparently it was something to do with the writers' strike and needing to wrap things up quickly (though I can think of approximately 100,000 better ways, but then I am not a lazy stupid Hollywood writer), so I choose to excise it from canon and replace it in my mind with the Platonic ideal of s3 Bones canon.
IT MAKES NO SENSE. There is a HUGE FUCKING HOLE in what they are pleased to call the 'logic' they attribute to Zack, and ZACK WOULD HAVE SEEN IT in a second on account of he is TEN TIMES SMARTER THAN THE GODDAMN WRITERS.
It is not logic! It is nothing, it is just A HUGE PILE OF SHIT. I love Zack, he was so great, and there's no way, no way at all that that would have happened. Why did no-one stop them???
