OH GOD ISN'T IT SHIT? I HATE IT, IT'S SO STUPID AND CRAP AND RUBBISH.
Season 4 is a bit useless. That's not a spoiler, it's just fair warning. Apparently after season 4 it gets a bit better again, or maybe even later in season 4. But it is bitty and fragmented from now on in, I know that from the sometimes when I watch episodes to know what is happening. But I stopped watching after some of season 4 because I was never that taken, and . . . the end of season 3 annoys me INCREDIBLY and I hate it and it's just so stupid and I think they wanted it to be a big clever thing and it so totally isn't, and it made me cross, and if you try to explain that to people they blame the writers' strike, but it was never going to be a big amazing clever thing because it is ALWAYS STUPID. I HATE IT.
(Also yes, about Bones and fat people. THEY SMELL AND ARE UNHAPPY, THAT IS PROVEN SCIENCE.)
It wasn't clever it was LAZY and CHEAP. I was already annoyed because of the stupid fake funeral, but then oooh it's one of them, and OOH it's Zack - don't be ridiculous, of course it isn't Zack, there is NOTHING in his characterisation to suggest that it could possibly be. It makes no SENSE. I hadn't remembered the writers' strike - did they not have the plot decided beforehand? I guess he wanted to leave anyway and that's why he got written out, but surely SOMEONE would have pointed out that it was SHIT. I'm SO cross about it.
I am also cross that I posted about loving Bones and then THIS happens.
Yes, they will totally have had the plot worked out, but people (ALL THE PEOPLE CLARE, ALL OF THEM) they pretend that if there hadn't been a writers' strike then it would have had more episodes and more chance to grow and develop and be clever and intricate and well written, as if writing it well would make SENSE OF IT WHEN NO NO NO A MILLION WRONGNESSES.
It was not wrong to love Bones, though. It seems like such a natural thing to do until they just go RUBBISH WITHOUT PROPER WARNING.
For me season 3 of Bones coincided with the end of The Shield. It was like ALL TV HATED ME. It was a low point.
I have managed to convince myself that I never got round to watching the end of Bones S3, because obviously what I think happened didn't happen, no. And when I do finally get around to watching it there will be an extremely clever, at least not patently ridiculous, resolution.
I KNOW RIGHT. I am still incandescent with rage. Apparently it was something to do with the writers' strike and needing to wrap things up quickly (though I can think of approximately 100,000 better ways, but then I am not a lazy stupid Hollywood writer), so I choose to excise it from canon and replace it in my mind with the Platonic ideal of s3 Bones canon.
IT MAKES NO SENSE. There is a HUGE FUCKING HOLE in what they are pleased to call the 'logic' they attribute to Zack, and ZACK WOULD HAVE SEEN IT in a second on account of he is TEN TIMES SMARTER THAN THE GODDAMN WRITERS.
It is not logic! It is nothing, it is just A HUGE PILE OF SHIT. I love Zack, he was so great, and there's no way, no way at all that that would have happened. Why did no-one stop them???
I will rush Season 4 to you so it can start to redeem that. I have rarely been so cross with a TV show for just fucking with its own internal logic and characterisation so such a degree. That's just NOT Zack, y'know?
I am pleased to know that s4 does not continue the awfulness!
I just cannot IMAGINE who thought that that was reasonable. Somehow two months ago Zack became a killer because he met someone at a party? No, he did not. Don't be ridiculous.
