Second in a sad series

Is it normal to put sweetcorn in minestrone soup? I mean, putting sweetcorn in anything is clearly not a normal thing to do, but is it usual practice? I had to eat around it after I discovered it lurking in amongst the noodles. ALSO I just went to get a glass of water and there is a solitary kernel in the sink. Sweetcorn is stalking me.

Yikes, is no meal safe? This sweetcorn menace MUST BE STOPPED.

Yikes! There's clearly someone there who thinks they're adding extra goodness and/or interest to things, sadly unaware they're doing neither.

Maybe it's time for a post on the intranet? You could organise the Great Sweetcorn Rebellion of 2011.

sweetcorn in minestrone soup?

THAT'S JUST PLAIN WRONG.

Sweetcorn in minestrone definitely makes me all sadface and therefore it is not normal and is Just Plain Wrong, natch. That lone kernel in the sink was clearly taunting you a second time. And re icon, I don't want to find it in my fish pie either.

I asked my boyfriend about this, but given that he misheard it as 'sweetporn' the discussion immediately diverted and has not been heard from since.

It is a conspiracy. Or an epidemic. I just got a tuna melt from the place downstairs only to find they'd put sweetcorn in it. WHY GOD WHY??
