Another book poll

My own thing for the series is a little complicated. I love the fact that all my Aubrey/Maturin books match. They're all shiny and nice and look good as well as being good. I have held off on buying books because they're too large to match the others - I'm still waiting for the sixth Princess Diaries book to be out in smaller paperback so that I can buy it. THere is no way that my Chalets will ever match. The closest you can get is to have everything as a pontilism cover paperback, but even so some of the spines of the latest published books are coloured. And the paperbacks are abridged - quite heavily in some cases. So I have hardbacks. They're mostly the same size, which is nice. I have up to Exile as the fatter earlier editions, with the frontispieces, mostly in copied jackets. Exile is my only blue-spined wrapper at the moment, and then after that I have a variety of wrappers. Mostly they're predominantly white-spined, but Carola has a grey sea-scape, and I can't change it because it's the first edition wrapper. But while the story is the most important thing, I do like the books to match.
