I have lots of things happening this morning, but have no definite time for any of them, which means I'm just watching Veronica's Closet in bed waiting, which is not the worst thing in the world, but is frustrating when I have Things To Do.

At some point after 11am a man with a van is coming to pick up 45 boxes, 3 suitcases, a wooden chair, a tallboy and my bookshelves to deliver them to Southampton. At some point probably after 10am a different man with a different van is coming to pick up 12 boxes and umpteen bags of books and clothes to take them to the British Heart Foundation. I spent yesterday making sure everything was in a different room, but there is still potential for unamusing mix-ups and I am a little anxious. But when everything is done I can take the "taking down myself/still to be sorted" piles out of my bedroom and be less cluttered in here. And a nurse is going to ring and confirm which vaccinations I've had and are up to date so I can check what I need to do. I set my alarm for before 8am this morning, to try and get a Drs appointment but they were all gone by the time I managed to get through.

Also in one room is a pile of clothes I am ebaying - have a look below. Now I look at it I am less sure about getting rid of the Coast dress with the sash. It is so nice.

But later today, Posh Lunch! At the Kitchin, yum yum yum. Tomorrow there are 7 people coming to look round the flat. And I need to work out what touching up I need to do to the paint. And clean things. And sort out the kitchen.

Except that British Heart Foundation aren't coming this morning, because despite the man I spoke to on Saturday saying that they could get to me early on, and definitely before 1pm, actually it would be closer to 2, which doesn't work at all. And they kept calling me "dear" on the phone. I hate being called dear at the best of times, and this wasn't one of those. I can't even get properly arsey about it, because really they're doing me a favour in collecting them. But now it means I still have all these masses of boxes and bags of stuff in my living room going nowhere. I hate them, but there isn't another charity shop that collects non-furniture items in Edinburgh, so I'm going to have to wait until tomorrow, hope that the woman who called me dear isn't working there, and book it for next week. UGH.

Also the man who is taking my stuff to Southampton is here, and I'm feeling awkward about not helping with the boxes and the stairs, even though that is precisely what I am paying not to do. There is only one of him, I don't know if he'll manage the tallboy.
