May. 8th, 2015 10:03 am( In a weak rip-off of a Friends sub-plot, I am cross about my dream last night. Which involves sexual assault. )
Also I have now had several rather in-depth dreams about said colleague, which is a little disconcerting when I work with him so closely. I am also annoyed with myself that the point at which I was happiest in the dream was when he said I was beautiful, because 1) I would rather be appreciated for factual attributes, such as my AMAZING humour, and 2) I would like not to need his approval, and feel that I seek validation too much from alpha men.
The election results are really depressing. Conservative majority, all the predictions are predicting. AND a UKIP seat. But I'm enjoying the Scotland results, with Jim Murphy and Danny Alexander in particular gone. I will be interested to see what happens with Sandi Toksvig's Women's Equality Party. The feminist parties in the elections with the first women voters didn't do well, for various reasons. I don't think WEP will fare much better, and will have to be too middle-ground to distinguish themselves from other parties beyond gender. I haven't looked into their policies, but I can all too easily imagine it ignoring trans issues at best, and falling into TERFy territory at worst.
