[Poll #612055]

The training is quite slow paced and the trainer is a little annoyed with me for doing other things. She comes over and asks me to show her what I've done and then is mildly miffed when I can, because Reference Manager is rather intuitive. But then she keeps saying "Christian names" which irritates me greatly.

Omg, the first question is difficult. Because what often happens is that I oversleep and spent the rest of the day feeling a bit rubbish. So my answer for the first question is on the assumption that it's one of the days that I actually make it to classes, yes.

I have now officially changed my times, so that instead of wkaing up at half seven and thinking "bugger this" and having another hour, I wake up an hour later anyway, and I've changed my work hours accordingly. But on other days I ususally intend to get up at about ten, and rarely surface before 1pm.

Hmmph, training like that is frustrating, and why I hardly ever go to things. They should be able to cope with you getting the basics straight away, and let you move on to stuff that would be useful, like setting up sharing for your group (which I guess is one reason you're looking at it?). I hope it gets more challenging!

Sadly, no. I have finished all the exercises, and the most difficult was "drag the selected files to word". It was very useful to have someone talk me through it, but really there's very little I couldn't have picked up myself. We haven't looked at anything to do with sharing - most people are just here because they want to use it individually, but still, it would have been good to at least talk about the possibilitites.

I wake up, roll over, and my laptop is right there. Thus, checking livejournal, email, etc.-- all of these are parts of "waking up" before "getting up" to me.

"waking up" = long process which is one of the nicest parts of my day.

"getting up" = "change from pajamas to jeans, grab keys, leave".

Yeah, that sounds nice. I have them separated because on work days I can't let myself do anything before I leave for work because if I do, I just won't leave! This has actually happened.

Who are these people who manage to leave the house less than 15 minutes after getting up in the mornings? What about showering, and finding clean clothes, and making lunch? WHAT ABOUT BREAKFAST?

Or possibly I'm just annoyed because I can't seem to cut it down to less than an hour fifteen, no matter what I do (unless I sleep through the alarm and leave without doing any of those things, but then I'm all discombobulated for the rest of the day).

They include me! I get up, I pull clothes on, I make my lunch (always the same to cut down on thinking) and then I leave. I shower in the evenings, can't do mornings, and I don't usually eat breakfast.

I am in awe. It takes me 15 minutes just to find socks without holes in them.

My average time from getting out of bed to walking out the door is about half an hour, which includes coffee, shower, getting dressed, and sometimes making something to eat that I take with me (if I don't just grab leftovers). I don't eat until I get to work - I simply can't eat that soon after getting up. And I almost always figure out what I'm going to wear the night before, to avoid standing in front of my closet for half an hour trying to think of an outfit.

I'm getting up a few minutes earlier now to make the coffee, since I used to get that after I got to work as well. My brain doesn't function well in the morning, although it might if I ever got to bed early enough. I am completely a creature of habit, and I do as much as I can the night before to cut down on decisions in the morning.

I have just realised that between waking up and leaving the house for me is 2-2 and a half hours. I do tend to get up, do something, go back to bed, get up again, go back to bed, etc several times though. I leave time for LJing, watching TV and writing in my routine. If I needed to I could be out of the house in 15 minutes or less.
