'Oh dear' doesn't really cover it ... but oh dear. A friend of mine swallowed a lego man and a metal bolt once and he was fine. Incidentally. I know it doesn't help you to recover your tongue stud.

It came untwisted while I was eating, and I didn't notice until I crunched on the remaining ball, and it wasn't there. I made my sister ring her doctor boyfriend to find out that I wasn't going to die. Apparently I'm not.

Not at all - didn't notice until it wasn't there, if you see what I mean. Came untwisted while I was eating. I went to Claire's Accessories and bought a new one in time before it closed up.

I went and bought a new one in Claire's Accessories. It was more annoying that anything, and now I am finding it all a bit amusing. My parents didn't mind too much about the car either. That was really their fault though, because they left it in gear. Really it drove itself into the garage door.

No, separate bits of idiocy! The car is (I insist) fine, the garage door has a bit of paint missing, and my parents just laughed at me and kindly drove onto the road for me, so that's okay. And assuming the stud doesn't do anything nasty to my insides on the way down, the tongue stud is not so bad either. I bought a new one quickly enough.

I think it would have been okay if the jaggedy metal bit hadn't cut his insides. But I also got the impression that it was a bit of a freakish thing to have happened and normally it would just be a case of letting the digestive process take its course.

It was a nice blueish one with stars. Now I have a flat stud with a yin yang that I don't like very much, because it was the cheapest.
