You have a spreadsheet for this sort of thing? How fab is that?!

But of course! That's how you plan things properly.

I don't know who Wil Hodgson is. I nearly clicked Adam Hills on the strength of that, but then you would be getting ILL-INFORMED advice. More days. Do that one.

I was going to weigh in but my opinion is clouded by having only seen one of them due to HAIR-BASED PREJUDICE.

Wil Hodgson is GREAT. He likes My Little Ponies and he used to be a wrestler and he has pink hair. This synopsis does him a great disservice.

He is also in a clip on youtube, though I don't know what bits he's doing there (TNG is happening in the living room so I can't check).

Your hair-based prejudice is depriving you of GREATNESS. Is it the pinkness or the mohawk? It's only pink now.

I spent an hour and a half frantically swapping around people last night and only just got a three-hour slot sorted out. Sort of complicated by the 24-hour show killing both the 18th and late on the 17th. In summary: ARGH.

It is BOTH. But I object to the mohawk more than the pinkness. I should maybe acknowledge this 50% improvement and go and see him this year.

I know! I can't BELIEVE they didn't let me do another placement this year. I could have seen everything helped combat violence against women.

I wish they were all in proper slots against each other. I've realised that my choice is more accurately Wil Hodgson + Bridget Christie, or Adam Hills + Pappy's. Or, as the poll seems to suggest, find more days to go.

Poor you with your 24 hour ticket. Who did you jettison?

Dude, he's great. You'd like him a lot. You could fashion some sort of veil for the top of your glasses so that you don't see his hair.

I have voted more days so you will be HAPPIER, not because I am horrible. I'm not even being sarcastic there. I was worried that all of our 'joking' about wanting you to go away for MONTHS again would make you sad and then I voted out of KINDLY wanting you to see more of Edinburgh and then I worried that you would think maybe I was voting out of MALICE and so I commented, but now it just looks worse. WHATEVER, CLARE, I JUST TRY TO BE NICE, ALL THE TIME I TRY.

If you choose to ignore ALL THE ADVICE OF YOUR FLIST, then you should see the pink haired man. Obviously. I am slightly against people seeing Adam Hills.

At the moment the only must-see that is languishing on the benches is Robin Ince, and to an extent I just have to go a show of his before and show after and I will be, quite literally, laughing.

Query/top tip: Stewart Lee ends his show in The Stand five minutes before Adam Hills starts his in the Assembly, am I right in thinking that's doable? I don't remember all the geography.

Also I am seriously considering jettisoning the 24-hour ticket, if I think I'll enjoy the 36 hours of comedy it'll get me!

I think that's pushing it slightly, in terms of getting out of The Stand if it's a few minutes over, I wouldn't risk it. But then I am always scared of arriving late and having to miss things when they won't let latecomers in. (Google maps claims 8 minutes, which is a bit generous, but still.) How do you feel about making a late entrance?

I do find it less easy to muster up sympathy for someone who can see most people in the city in which he lives ANYWAY. Though I must [...]

AH HA! I just went to check a Lancaster theatre website to see if I could justifiably claim that all we get are Roy Chubby Brown and Jim Davidson (yes, in the same month, sandwiching Pam Ayres...) and Adam Hills is very kindly coming to Lancaster in November! Wil Hodgson it is. And maybe more days anyway.

Adam Hills, it turns out, is coming to Lancaster! Hurrah, life is good to me. (Though not you.)

I TOOK IT KINDLY! I am finding your 'joking' as amusing as ever, because I realise that you are using humour to mask your deep-seated fears about me going away.

Hooray all round!

I am okay with entering late to Adam Hills, as I imagine he'll be in the enormohall with the three tiers of seats and will hardly notice me. I missed Hils Barker (I think) last year because I stayed right to the end of Andrew O'Neill's free show (because he was telling that story about being in a fight) and she was in the tiny tiny broom closet at the top of the Teviot where the door opens onto the stage.

Thank you for the sympathy, and the effort behind it!

The Lancaster thing has already sorted it out, but Adam Hills. Definitely. For he is wonderful.

But Wil Hodgson is also wonderful! I think I might have plumped for Wil Hodgson in the end anyway, because Adam Hills is on TV a lot, and Wil Hodgson never is. But I'm really pleased that I get to do both.

I don't have enough life to need it :)

Although when Mouse starts Doing Things, we might have to have a wall chart with all three people's things and when each happens...

I think that going to the Fringe for more days would probably be the right answer to any question, but it's possible that I'm just biased.
