I am glad to have saved something from my reading of this. I sort of want other people to read it too just so that I am not alone..
She could have looked up "lesbians" on wikipedia, and then found a list and then rang people and asked them to confirm their sexual identity for her, and if they thought they didn't want to be restricted to imposed categories, she could discount the whole idea of lesbianism. Or THOUGHT ANYTHING AT ALL.
