I see you've solved the immediate need, but just to say I'd happily do this any time, if you need it again.
Depending on the resolution of your phone's camera, you might find that the photo e-mailed back to you was of lower resolution than the photo as it was originally taken: by default, your phone will generally scale down an image before sending it in a photo message, though you should be able to set that on your phone. (Sorry if all that's irrelevant! It just caught me out at one point.)
