The first three Trebizon books are available (for purchase) on the Kindle Store.

Although, as I said before, I'm not very into hignfy at the moment, I really enjoyed this article with Paul Merton in the Guardian. Possibly because it's not about hignfy, and it's really interesting about class.

I am annoyed at what happened in the latest Bones.

I really liked the Paul Merton interview! Partly because he had interesting things to say, but also because he talks about his inability to dress himself properly, which gave me a pang of nostalgia. Oh, Paul and his terrible shirts.

It was really nice. I liked that he wrote to the producer to be on JAM and that he's always loved it.

That's part of it, isn't it? Merton gets to go on Just a Minute, Gaiman gets to write Doctor Who, when both have been fans since childhood - and they both appreciate their luck.

Dare I ask what happened on Bones?

I am also annoyed at the latest Bones. But slightly less than I was a few seasons ago, because at least they didn't make him a serial killer.

Low bar, I know.

Quite! I hope the spin-off fails miserably too.

My favourite intern was killed. Boo.

I don't much like either Gaiman or DW! I like that Paul Merton keeps doing the Comedy Store Players too.

*googles* WHAT. I thought that episode was kind of 'Let us introduce our awesome new spinoff characters'-y, but that it couldn't really be, because a show about the Finder would be just so STUPID. Clearly I have too much faith in the Bones showrunners.

I just couldn't bear Sienna Miller's accent. So terrible. When the finder was all flirty with Brennan I was worried that he might crop up again, but so far better luck.

I haven't enjoyed the last couple of episodes very much at all. And now no Vincent Nigel-Murray to look forward to ever again.

I like the other interns, but I was very fond of Mr Nigel-Murray. The awful thing is that except for THAT, I thought the episode was done better than most of the recent ones. And then they ruined it.

It feels strange to be saying this about one of my favourite shows, but I wish it hadn't been renewed. It's just been downhill since the Gravedigger trial episode at the end of last season.

Did you catch last night's JAM? Gyles Brandreth was ghastly as ever but Paul and Julian were very.

I don't know anything about the Trebizon books -- should I buy them? Or at least the first one?

AND, what is that crime series of books that you love? I may get the first one of those for my Kindle (yay Kindle!) too.

I really enjoyed that article too. Although for some reason I thought he'd grown up in Tooting not Fulham. Don't know why I thought that.

I thought it was Merton because of his surname, so I had no clue!

Oh, yes you should! They are a lovely school series from the 1980s set in Cornwall (possibly? haven't reread in a while), and there is surfing involved.

It is the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child. The first one is Killing Floor.

Also I highly recommend The Maker's Mask.

Yay Kindle indeed!

I didn't, no - and I didn't realise Paul and Julian were both on it! Shall listen when I get home.
