I keep not posting book lists and meaning to catch up later, so I am going to post this now and hope to resume my usual write-ups at the end of August. I think I've actually missed out some of the books I've read in the past few months, but I need to draw one of those lines people keep talking about in interminable meetings at work. Hmm. The Real Rebecca was great, Caddy's World somewhat disappointing (and anachronistic) but still lovely, The Maker's Mask and sequel brilliant, The Surprise of Cremona intruiging, The Passport disappointingly dry.

I wondered what the K meant but it must be Kindle, I assume?

I had a Dick Francis binge last year / earlier this year and think they're rather good (if pot-boiler-y) actually.

Oh yes - I meant to explain that! Kindle it is. Well, Kindle app on my phone, anyway. I find it quite handy, though not at all a replacement.

I enjoyed Straight - pageturner.

I was in a secondhand bookshop today and they had a copy of My Friends the Mrs Millers. I could go back and pick it up for you if you would like it. I can't remember which ones you have/have read.

That's so disappointing about Caddy's World. I've got first dibs on it whenever it finally gets processed at the library.

I like your Kindle notes...now I can go find those.

Straight is one of my favorite Dick Francis books. Have you read Break In yet?
