They say each other every day?? The whole thing sounds more like a creepy brainwashing exercise than the kind of 'dating behaviour' normal people indulge in. However, it's probably par for the demographic of comfortably-off young 'creatives' in New York - in fact, it is probably a truth universally acknowledged that comfortably-off young 'creatives' in New York are in want of a book-deal.
