St. Mallory's Forever is not good. The plot makes no sense. But I loved the Don and Xuan (but mostly the Don) so much that I read to the end for their sake.
I recently read Erik German's My Father's Dream which was £1.50 and is an expose of multi-level marketing - I enjoyed it a lot but then I have a weird fondness for 'I survived a cult' memoirs so make of that what you will. I also read Francine Prose's Reading Like A Writer for £0.99, which was well worth the money though I disagreed with it quite a lot in parts - she is one of those people who has convinced themselves that All Life Can Be Found In The Ancient Greeks and anyone who doesn't click with the classical world to the extent that she does is just being politically correct, which I found annoying and simplistic. ]
Also, I don't know your stance on Mapp and Lucia but Amazon has all six books for £0.77, which is bargainous.
