A quick google reveals variations on my name have been consistently popular in recent years but my actual name was last consistently in the top ten in the 60s and 70s (does this make me a flowerchild child?).
Edie is a mousey kitchen maid (thin blonde hair and glasses) who scrubs floors by preference because she's too scared of Cook to learn anything from her. At two-thirds of the way through she does seem to be going to marry a rather competent working-class Corporal though so let's hope she learns to cook pronto.
