My adaptor for accessing a harddrive from a dead computer uses this connector to plug into the wall.



Unfortuantely, I no longer seem to have one, and none of the things in my parents' house use it either.

What do I call it when I google to find a new one? I have tried 6 pin power adaptor and that didn't work.


Since I got back my attempts to replace my laptop have turned into a Dear Zoo themed farce. The first one turned out to have Windows 8 instead of Windows 7 as advertised, so I sent it back. The second one had Windows 7, but was also so heavy I couldn't easily lift it with one hand and whirred too loudly, so I sent it back. The third one was beautiful and blue and I gave up on Windows 7 in the hope that Windows 10 wouldn't be unbearable, which it wasn't, but it was a sort of Chromebook thing where you're meant to do everything online, and it only had 2gb of RAM and the tiny internal storage was all taken up with windows and I couldn't torrent at the same time as doing anything else - and I have not yet sent it back becasue I think I've had it too long and generous though John Lewis's return policy is, I don't think they'll accept it back now. But I have bought a FOURTH laptop, a refurbished HP Elitebook from ebay, and it is so far very very good - Windows 7, 13.3in, light enough that I can easily whisk it up without stressing my wrist, full home/end/pg up/pg dn keys, and even a backlit keyboard and a good screen. I hope my early impressions continue to be fulfilled.

If I can just get access to my old thunderbird and firefox profiles I shall be a happy woman at last.
