The Bazalgettes, or Folly and Farewell - E.M. Delafield (Anon)
The Pothunters - P.G. Wodehouse
A Prefect's Uncle - P.G. Wodehouse
Lolita - Vladimir Nabokov
Tales of St. Austin's - P.G. Wodehouse
Two Thrilling Terms - Nancy Breary
The worst book I read was The Ship, which was very dull. Best books were To the Last Man I Slept With... and The Bazalgettes. I'd been meaning to get hold of the former for a while and not managed before. It's a collection of Gwen's short stories and they're great. The Silent Speaker is an adult book of Streatfeild, and quite depressing, as they generally are. It starts with a group of friends having dinner, and then after they go home their hostess kills herself. The book's about them finding out why, wiht a rather unsatisfactory ending for me.
