Apparently it's about three years ago now.

In 2005 I went to Connotations with Jen, Alice, Liz and Sarah. (Other people were there too, but the car was filled with us.) Jen and Alice, I think it was, wanted to do the fandom secrets thing that was then not quite as overdone as it can be now, and had a little bit of wall for it. I found them recently, and went through and picked out my favourites - basically the ones for which I know the fandoms. Lots were from SG1 and SGA, which I don't know so haven't scanned.
I made this one. It is from Hanson in 21 Jump Street to Penhall.

Penhall was kicked out by his girlfriend (who I didn't mind, but was quite awful though not as awful as his awful wife), and showed up at Hanson's place asking to stay. Hanson said no. Since their love is true, clearly there must be a deeper reason than "he didn't want him to stay".
This was made by
alicamel, and is to do with Meg and Mog.

It is one of the saddest things I've ever seen.
I made this one again, and I made it mostly because we were making them in front of Neighbours before we went to Connotations.

The drawing is so fabulous that you won't need this one explaining, but for the sake of consistency: the man in the bed is Paul Robinson, who haf recently fallen off a cliff and needed to have his leg amputated, which he wasn't happy about. But mostly he's deeply in love with Dylan.
I don't know who made this one, it was done at the con. It is a Due South secret.

It makes me laugh an awful lot. If you don't know Due South, the first two series have the real Ray, Ray Vecchio. Then Fraser comes back at the start of series three and finds an interloper claiming to be Ray Vecchio. He is eventually referred to as Ray Kowalski, and is the wrong Ray (others may, and indeed do, differ vociferously).
Me again, and another childhood one, though not my childhood.

I did it because I'd recently made That's Not My Gay Cop Lover.
Me again, and this time it's a Chalet School card.

The card is from Tom Gay, who is a girl who arrives at the Chalet School with a very odd idea of girls, and rather a down on femininity. Rosalie is the girliest girl who ever girled, but somehow they have a lovely friendship.
alicamel again, Neighbours again, but with a Prisoner Cell Block H twist.

I had to have this explained to me as I've never seen PCBH. The actresses who played Susan Kennedy and Lyn Scully were both also in PCBH. So maybe Neighbours is all one of their dreams.
This is a QI card, made by

You probably need to go to the
quiteslashy and look at the userinfo to see the community icon. I was not there at the inception of this particular in-joke, but basically the love between Stephen Fry and Alan Davies is SO strong that nothing can defeat it (OMG the love!). However, this card posits that this argument is false, and that in fact there is a danger and its name is Hugh Laurie.
This is a Sharpe card, and I'm afraid I don't know who made this one either.

Sharpe is Sean Bean. Pat, whom the card is from, is his sargeant who loves him more than anything else ever and follows him yay into the gates of hell and beyond. And makes him a sword. Mostly the address makes me giggle.
Yeah. It's ages ago now.

Date: 2008-05-09 11:12 am (UTC)Is the person who's posted 'thanks much' below a friend, or spam? I got a very similar comment and it was slightly confusing to me - it would be more explicable if you had a terse chum who'd followed me home, or if we've both been spammed.
