It took me three goes, but eventually I got there! Now I need not let a lack of internet access prevent me from boring my flist.

GIVE ME A MARK! YOU ARE SO GOOD AT MARKING. I would give me 42%, actually. I recognised it as a test and gave an answer. A lot of people didn't do that, and they didn't give their answer three times, which is the PREFERRED MANNER OF ANSWERING PROBABLY ACTUALLY. And my answer was ALWAYS the same which shows steadiness and clarity of thought. And my icon has Avon in it. I THINK FAILING ME WAS A BIG MISTAKE and if you were a Better Kind Of Person you would be big enough to admit it.

Not in the flat, no. I might get to check emails during the day, but there are VERY strict regulations about what you can do, and absolutely everything gets logged and I haven't got my head around the freedom of information stuff yet. I guess I'll be on the lookout for cafes with free wifi!

The only ones I know of are Urban Angel (which is a lovely place and definitely worth going to at some point, even if not for the Internet) and Beanscene, one of whose branches may be nearish to you. But people who actually live there doubtless know more! :-)

I think JWire's advanced search has pay/free as a search criterion.
