I have been trying to remember where I found the link to this story for ages, and in the absence of any sort of inspiration whatsoever, I thought I would ask if anyone can help.

It's a back-in-England Narnia story where Lucy hangs herself in a (the?) wardrobe because she can't cope with not being in Narnia. Probably it's slightly more nuanced than that - I remember it being very good indeed.

The Radio Times website says that it was the Buzzcocks I saw being recorded tonight, but I haven't watched it because I was at home with my mamma who I didn't think would like it very much at all.

I have a cough. This is not good. I don't want to be ill on the weekend - still less do I want to disturb other people's sleep when I myself make such a babyish fuss about noise.

Can't help, but I would like to know when you find it. It sounds very plausible to me, particularly given the others' reactions. If it turns out not to exist, it ought to.

I'm certain that it does exist - it's not something that I would have come up with on my own, my brain doesn't work that way. I thought it was a Yuletide story, but it doesn't seem to be up there.

Very grateful indeed.

Being the age I am, I first encountered "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" at the age of 13 or 14 via a "Children's Hour" broadcast (it was the first book I bought for myself) and I didn't read "Prince Caspian" till I was 16 and working part time at the local library. I recall at that time wondering whether, given the others' reaction, Lucy had ever felt suicidal.
