The announcement of a train failure might sound less ominous if we weren'T at the station it took me 6 hours to get home from last time.

I checked the comments because I thought they might be full of advice about taking the N63 bus four miles to the East and then getting the horseman of the apolcalypse to give you a lift round the North Circular, culminating in a 'home safely with not much necrosis' follow-up message. But this string of spam is rather special.

Eventually - missed the last connection but there were a bunch of us which always makes things more bearable. Taxi from Preston not too bad, though by then the station was shut and I had to walk home because there was no bus and the taxi rank at the station was closed. (It's about a fifteen minute walk, it can in no way be considered any form of hardship.)
