I am off to the post office to send books to [livejournal.com profile] joyeuce and [livejournal.com profile] debodacious. I also found a huge bag of books that I was supposed to send to various people literally months ago. I'm very sorry about that - I'll try to sort through them the week after next before I move properly and contact people to see if they still want them. (If you know that you're one of the people that I've been unforgiveably flakey towards and still want what you asked for - let me know and I'll try to get them off to you more quickly.)

I also found a stack of EJOs that I printed off. I am loath to just recycle them, but I also am not prepared to actually sort and post them off. But, if you know that you can collect them from Edinburgh, or have them collected on your behalf, then you are very welcome to them. I have:

Joy's New Adventure
Deb of Sea House
Jinty's Patrol
Dorothy's Dilemma
The Reformation of Jinty
The School Torment
Damaris at Dorothy's (comb bound photo-copy - the others are just printed word files)

and also one of the books about Tazy that I didn't label properly. The first chapter is "Miss Euclid".

We went to the tip today, and without stacks of paper my room feels much happier. Soon we shall charity shop things and then I think I might not have to stare at my ceiling for some respite. Jen wishes it to be known that she hates the internet. Alice wishes it to be known that she hates BT. I'm feeling surprisingly mellow about things. I have been watching the last series of Roseanne, and actually so far I prefer it to season 8. I stop properly loving it at the end of series 7 though.

Tonight I'm having a Trivial Pursuit evening with my pub quiz teammates and sundry others. I am hugely looking forward to it.

If nobody else wants the EJOs, I'd be very happy to take them! I've actually never read any - would they be a reasonable start?

I think I started with Joy's New Adventure, even though it's MILES through the Abbey series. It was good enough that I read the rest, but since I liked them I kind of wish I'd started at the beginning.

Ooh, The School Torment is the first in a series, if that helps?

I don't think they're the best start of all, but certainly worth a go to see what EJO is like. Shall bring them!
