I was going to put an option of "hideous feminist troll-beast" for the first question, but I thought people might tick it for FUN, and I really want to know. I've sort of got an idea that it's a geographical/national difference, but I don't know.

For the second question, I have some French Fancies, and am eating my least favourite first.

[Poll #1631819]

Obviously feel free to skip over questions if you only want to answer some. The final question is pure nosiness, I tend to assume that people have the same background that I do and them and surprised when this is not true. Any other reflections on schools (or any other toopics in this fascinating survey) are very welcome in the comments.

I think I should have done a special option for religious, maybe?

Probably - although I am pretty sure there are some religious schools that make you pay, so that would add a FURTHER DIMENSION of optioniness. Also I have always assumed that non-religious schools were still basically C of E and had prayers in assembly and things. Although, having not actually been to one I could quite easily have just made that up entirely.

Hmm, I don't know. That's sort of true, though my school didn't have prayers or hymns. Also there was one school in my city that was selective on religion, as CofE.

Although obviously that is very English-centric! Presumably, like, American schools aren't C of E by default. POLLS ARE TRICKY.

My kid's "non-denominational" state school is very very Church of Scotland and I HATE IT with FIRE.

My primary schools had prayer and hymns (and they were all in Welsh in my first primary school), but in high school assemblies we just sang Beatles songs.

We didn't do any singing at all in secondary school, and my primary school was happy clappy Come and Praise and Beatles.
