I need a machine-washable aran weight multi-colour yarn for the next thing I want to make. (I bought noro kureyon before I realised that the machine-washable aspect is very important to me. So now I have to work out what to do with that.) The shops in Edinburgh haven't really yielded anything I like, so I was looking at online things. Do any of you have recommendations for a) places to buy wool online, and b) machine-washable aran weight multi-colour yarns that you like working with.

Get Knitted here in Bristol is good, I believe.

Thanks for the link - and now I have somewhere to head for if I end up in Bristol for a day or so soon.

Misson Falls 1824 is superwash, and you can get it here (http://www.cafeknit.com/1824_wool.php) apparently. (They refer to it as DK, but it's what I would refer to as worsted, which is similar to aran.) I'm looking at some other websites, but they don't seem to have much superwash yarn, but I don't know much about the Patons and Wendy yarns sold there. There's a version of Cascade 220 that is superwash and nice, but I can't seem to find it in the UK.

Thank you! I love your icon too. I am having to learn about the different weights and US/UK differences, very complicated.

Fiesta's Boomerang has gorgeous colors, and you can get it at The Loopy Ewe, which is a wonderful online store and they do ship internationally. Hope you can find something closer, but if not, the exchange rate is definitely in your favor!

As for the Noro, sell it on Ravelry. Happy to walk you through it if you want!

Ooh, that is pretty. I have also seen mochi plus, but now I have to work out what colours I want. So many decisions to make!

I may take you up on that!
