I've just returned from seeing Antony and Cleopatra in London. I had to get the FCC slow train because it was such a LONG play. I think maybe Shakespearean Roman plays don't agree with me. Which is a shame because I've yet to see Coriolanus. Anyway, on the train back I caught sight, through the seat backs, of what I thought was somene in a hoodie hunched over, but they looked a weird shape. I was squinting at the shape when suddenly it resolved itself into a couple kissing and I found myself staring into the eyes of a rather cross-looking man.

I wrote this on my new phone that I got for Chrristmas. If you have any recommendations for android apps that would be great.

Oh, it's so annoying when shapes you're trying to figure out transpire to have eyes. Though frankly people who kiss on public transport must EXPECT to be stared at, and possibly booed.

I don't know what an android app is. SORRY. I'm going to guess it has something to do with egg whisks and groinal sockets.

Oh, Kryten! If Kryten would just condescend to follow me around everywhere I would have no need of other apps.

SHOULDN'T THEY JUST. I admit I have occasionally done so myself, but not at my instigation, and always with a healthy dose of self-hatred.

I like A and C because I studied it at Sixth Form, but it's probably better to read than to see. I saw it on stage and on telly and neither Antony could deliver the line 'Not dead!' without sounding petulant. If you find Coriolanus I'd like to see it (although he seems, from my brief reading of it, like the king of petulant).

Will get recommendations from my Android-using friend - there are at least three things it can do which are witchcraft.

People laughed when he said not dead. I am not at all sure that's what they were going for. I will of course be looking out for Coriolanus and will let you know if I find him.

I have a barcode scanner! It tells me what the thing I'm holding is!

Steve has a good app that tracks where you're walking using GPS amongst other things - is called Endomondo.

Also Angry Birds is annoyingly addictive and quite good fun.

I have already succumbed to Angry Birds! At first I felt bad about the pigs but now I properly hate their smug, smug faces.

Yes, they are intensely irritating aren't they! And the Muttley like sniggering you get too.

I've never done that with a couple kissing, but I've done it with trying to parse other oddities, only to realise that I've been staring at someone's enormous scar, or a missing finger, or something...

Maybe I can get an app that will look for me, and identify things to avoid this kind of awkwardness. Except then it would like like I was filming them...
