Sep. 8th, 2011 02:59 pmOver the course of this week I've been pleased because I've been working quite hard, getting through things and doing them well. A new leaf! thought I - here I am fulfilling some of that potential I've always suspected lay beneath the indolence. Unsurprisingly, though, it is not to be. 1) I've just charged through all the easy to middling and interesting jobs, leaving myself with a list of the dull and the difficult; and 2) I simply haven't got it in me to work "hard" (a better term might well be "normally" or "with average effort) for more than three days at a time. I'm only human. And I don't want to have to TALK to people.
Yahoo mail has changed and it is so very ugly and cumbersome. I shall have to go back to using thunderbird or something at home.
US television starts back again soon and I am SUPER excited. I should go and find a list of the new shows so I can prepare myself for trying some out. I'm not even going to pretend to apologise for how much not-very-good TV makes me happy, and how much I've been looking forward to things coming back. Little Mosque on the Prairie, Cougar Town, Parks and Recreation, Make it or Break It, Psych, Bones, Rizzoli and Isles, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory. Hmm, I thought I watched more than that - I suppose Hellcats isn't returning, and there's also Suits and Louie, which are happening and the moment but probably stopping quite soon because EVERYTHING leaves me. Maybe Veep will be airing this autumn?
I'm on series three of Seaquest DSV at the moment, there is not nearly enough Peter Deluise, but at least the dolphin is much less in evidence.

Date: 2011-09-08 11:22 pm (UTC)ABC Family still won't say whether MIOBI is coming back or not. If it doesn't, I will cry. ABC Family loves to take my heart and then crush it in tiny pieces while airing The Secret Life of whatever the fuck forever and ever.

Date: 2011-09-09 09:31 pm (UTC)I read an interview where they said that because Thingy's actress was pregnant Emily (EMILY!) was too, but it seemed like she would come back afterwards from what they were saying.

Date: 2011-09-09 09:38 pm (UTC)Oh, interesting. I thought if they wanted Emily back after she had her RL baby they'd have sent her to Denver for a year or something, because Emily's having the baby and you don't come back to gymnastics from that. Did you watch the last half of s2?
