Today I discovered that the 1980s TV series Jonny Briggs a) doesn't have an h in it, and b) only had 8 episodes. I thought it was a proper long-running series! I have lots of really strong memories of it, which I thought that were from several years. Instead, it seems like I remember almost all of it, in bite-sized chunks. Now I have the theme tune stuck in my head.

And now I've seen all the links down the side of that page I am in danger of turning into a substandard Russell Howard-esque "ooh, do you remember" routine. (I used to have a famed T-bag impression when I was at school.) (By which I mean I did it at least twice and my friend said it was good.)

OH. I now see that wikipedia says that there were in fact 33 episodes, and imdb is a liar. That sounds much more likely, and indeed renders this whole section pointless. But I've written it now, so hey-ho.

I watched the new Red Dwarf, and once again even though I was not expecting it to be very good, the theme tune still made me bouncy. It wasn't too bad! I like that they're back to proper sitcom stuff, though I didn't like the on hold bit.

My hair seems to be falling out at a far greater rate than usual.

I have a huge amount of washing up to do. I hate washing up.

I bought a microwave for £15 from a charity shop and a whole world of cooking has re-opened itself to me.

I have two things to write, I want to have done both, but I don't want to do either.

I had two fillings and was very brave throughout. Though not really brave, it just doesn't bother me.

I am a bit cross because my new work building is a 30 minute walk, so I feel that I should walk it and save money on the bus, whereas if it were even a 40 minute walk I would feel able to keep my bus pass.

I watched the new Red Dwarf last night (preceeded by at least one of the old ones thanks to my digibox running recordings together). At the first few notes I was sixteen again. It was bizarre, and really rather lovely. I enjoyed the new one much more than expected - I loved the first six series, and gave up a couple of episodes into seven.

When they did the last three episodes I discovered that even having really disliked the first one, playing the theme tune at the end made me really excited for the second.

A hairdresser told me once that general hair loss (not as in going bald) is seasonal and we do lose more hair in the autumn. I think this is some kind of hormonal thing.

Two fillings' worth of braveness is lots.

I have failed to watch new Red Dwarf. I have a deep and abiding love for the theme tune. Also you have had actual goldfish* shoals nibbling at your toes, have you not?

You could do 10 mins on the bus and 20 mins of walking each day? Also there are days when the weather is utterly pish or you have things to carry or you are just bloody knackered, and not having to worry about change is worth it for me.

* Or some fish or other that might as well be goldfish.

That is good to know! I wondered if it might be the dye, which probably doesn't help, but it's not too damaged, so hope not.

I have to have another fillings' worth of braveness next month too. I don't mind them much, the injections are unpleasant, but then I just shut my eyes and think about something else.

10 mins on the bus and 20 mins of walking doesn't save me any money! That is the main thing about it. If I've got a bus pass I may as well just get the bus all the time. If I don't have a bus pass, then getting it for 10 minutes is pointless.

I have had my toes and leg hair nibbled by fish that might not have been goldfish, but may as well be for the sake of argument.

Sorry, I was thinking that the bus pass thing was about exercise, not about saving money.

It is money. It will probably be good to get more exercise, but that is not the main thing. I can do some of the walk in Princes Street Gardens, though, which might be quite nice.

I remember Jonny Briggs too. And Simon & The Witch, which I have shown to the kids who loved it. Though I always seem to remember kids TV shows having longer runs than they actually do.

Also, I hate washing up too... so I have a dishwasher. It is totally my least favourite household chore - ironing is preferable.

I have nowhere to put a dishwasher in my kitchen, though I have vaguely been looking at the mini ones to see if that's at all feasible. And I'd just end up with a huger pile of all the non-dishwashable items!

I don't iron. I don't own an iron.

I like the heel-clicking Simon and the Witch bit in the credits! I don't remember it as well though.
