I am apparently CURSED. I organised people to come to a pub quiz for my leaving thing. The first pub I chose turned out, when I rang to check, not to do a pub quiz anymore. So I found another one and re-arranged it for that, having rung them on Thursday to check times and then today when we got there we found it was NOT HAPPENING for reasons I didn't fully understand. THWARTED. No questions for Clare. How can I test myself if no-one will ask me questions? They have agreed that they will come to another quiz if I find an actual one, but I worry that there is only so much patience people can have with non-appearing quizzes. I would be suspicious after the first non-happening. I bought myself a bread and butter pudding from the coop to have for tea as a make-up present.
