Doors Open Day, 40 Days of Dating

Doors Open Day in Edinburgh is the last weekend of September this year, which is brilliant because it means I can go. I was assuming it was earlier, and I'd be in Tunisia or London. The past two years I've been to the Lothian Bus depot and loved it. I think that two trips really have shown me all there is to see there (a display showing how all the buses are monitored, a ride through the bus wash, an open air bus tour... around the depot, clambering around the old buses they have on display (one with a conductor giving out tickets), getting to sit in the seat of a double-decker bus and controlling the lights, doors and best of all REVVING IT), but I feel like I've begun a tradition, and I would quite like to go again. Anyone want to experience it for the first time, possibly with kids, so that I have a better excuse to go?
Then when I'm in London it's actually Open House weekend. I'm in London to see a play at the Globe on Saturday afternoon, and then I'm leaving on Sunday afternoon, so I won't have loads of time to do things, but I'm hoping to fit in a couple of visits in the mornings. Lots of them seem to be architectural stuff and private houses, which I'm not particularly interested in. I like an industrial setting, or behind the scenes at a theatre.
I've been reading that 40 days of dating thing (like a lot of you, I think), and my GOD I hate Timothy. He is such a selfish, deluded dick. Oooh, he likes to think that the word "together" is from "to get her"! A lot of his art (at least I think it's his, the headers are all different, but I think the bits within the posts are theirs) is changing letters or orders of things to show the connection. HE IS SO DEEP. Ugh. And he does that thing of presenting himself as the clear, level-headed person, while Jessica is this trope to him of a "tricky" girl, because he doesn't know what she's thinking ALL THE TIME. I hate him. I am not particularly fond of Jessica either, who is sooooooo not interested in labels, but is at least somewhat aware of herself, and receives a lot of my sympathy through the simple fact of not being Timothy. I hate him. I hope he falls off one of the rides when they go to Disneyworld.

I always enjoy the hydraulic and pumping places but some of them are open to the public on other days too.
ETA: I also want to play at the bus station with you but can't make it to Edinburgh. SADFACE.
