Is licquorice much more popular than I imagine, or is this some kind of DISS?

The original post's tagged "I like them all", but licquorice??? Really? I am baffled by that being (apparently) used to represent a flavour it would be hard to choose between. Cookies and Cream and Choc Mint I think are both flavours that I would recognise as generally being considered lovely, but licquorice is HORRIBLE. (Am I wrong? Is liquorice an acknowledged flavour of loveliness?) I think I'd use something like Chocolate Fudge Brownie as the third, if I were going around making ice-cream based comparisons to DeLuises. Special enough to convey that it's great, generic enough that it's a clear people-pleaser even if its not your personal preference... undivisive. Surely the DeLuises aren't divisive?

It is the final days of the Fringe, and I am trying to work out what I want to make sure I see before the end. This evening I'm going to see a book festival event about women as protagonists of action books, and tomorrow I'm seeing Baconface. At the weekend I've booked to see Tig Notaro, Richard Herring's Edinburgh Fringe Podcast (because Baconface will be a guest), and Comedy Countdown. I think I'd also like to see The Dark Room (a sort of guide through a choose your own adventure books that always ends in death), and The Play That Goes Wrong (a farce). Of my original list, the ones I haven't seen and would like to are Nat Luurtsema (but not really wanting to queue for 1hr+ to get in), Jessica Fosteskew, and Jennifer Wong, all on the free fringe. I would also happily see Piff the Magic Dragon, and Seann Walsh (who is nominated for the main comedy award) but have recently seen my bank balance and might not be able to justify everything.

The comedy nominations are out - I've only seen two of the main award, Bridget Christie (BRILLIANT) and Mike Wozniak (disappointing, and I'm a little surprised he was nominated for this, though I only saw a preview). I've only seen Aisling Bea of the newcomers, but she's the clear front-runner. Good hula-hooping skills. I was so inspired I searched and found a class in Edinburgh for hula-hooping (the other hula hooper I saw this year was a burlesque act who ended up hula-hooping with his penis. I was not so very inspired by him), but it was only running this summer, and I haven't had an answer to my email asking if they're doing it again. What I have done is arranged a first session with a personal trainer who can come into my work gym. She is going to help me have strong arms, partly because I would just like to be strong, and partly so that I could maybe go back to aerial skills and get more out of it. I emailed her and said I wanted to be stronger, and didn't want to focus on weight/fatness/food intake at all, and she actually listened and it didn't come up at all in our introductory chat. I am now a bit nervous about the first actual session on Monday, but quite looking forward to it. I am terrible at self-motivation, but I rather like exercise-type things when you're told what to do. There is apparently a lot of resting in weights as well. I'm not bad at resting.

I don't know, I can't find the original tweet any more. I hope that the DeLuise love has indeed spread to Scandinavia.
