New Reacher

I had planned to spend at least part of this weekend weeding out my bookshelves, as there is a bookswap coming up (hurray!) and I really don't have enough room for the books I already have. However, I've just read an article about Reacher, and now I want to reread the books but I didn't keep any of them, and I regret it. There are libraries, but I never remember to return books, and it's not the same as having them safely in my book room ready to be picked up at a moment's notice.

Anyway - new Reacher! I had several plans for lunchtime, including the post office to return boots that were wrongly described, and the gym to grimly undertake exercises with kettle bells, but now I think it will involve going to the nearest wifi enabled place (which is John Lewis, I think) and downloading the Kindle edition of Never Go Back, and then somehow getting through the rest of the working day without reading it instead of working. Also there is a new ebook short story which is Reacher as a teenager, which is close to what I'd really like to read anyway.

(I feel that having the ebook edition of the new book is a little contradictory to wishing I still had my copies of the earlier books, but I don't really like hardbacks unless they're special or I need them to match existing books, and the kindle edition is far cheaper and will be with me almost instantly.)

So, I read this entry and said NEW REACHER??!!!!! Yahooo!!! I went over to Audible.Com to buy and download it only to find that I pre-ordered it already! hahahaha

(With this kind of memory, I should probably re-read all of them as likely, I can't remember the details enough to spoil the story!) It's not available here until the 3rd of September.

Ha, that's a nice surprise for you! I thought ti wasn't available here either, but amazon told me wrong. I have already started it, and am so gripped I am surprised that I can't really focus on work.

Apparently, Lee Childs is going to be at the 2014 RT Convention. I feel like I should read a Jack Reacher in preparation. I keep waiting for them to go on sale, but they never do, alas.

I think everyone should read Jack Reacher! Do you have a library near enough you that might have one?

It's embarrassing how often I forget about the library. There are a couple close by, but I use the Sacramento one because it has a better selection of ebooks. And I get to check them out at home, and I am generally in favor of things that don't require me to leave the house.

But yes! I just requested the first book, so I can see what all the fuss is about.
