I wanted to post about my hair tonight, as [livejournal.com profile] tabouli requested, but it turned out I had more to think about to write it, so I haven't finished yet. But I will. As a placeholder, here are two parts of my flat where I am happy about the organisation.

My wardrobe. Having read enough of Apartment Therapy, I think that this is a reach-in, rather than a walk-in? Or maybe a very small walk-in. Anyway, I have finally got things sorted instead of a big jumble of clothes on the shelf. Two piles of long/three quarter length sleeved t shirts for under things, one large pile of vests and short-sleeved under t shirts, one small pile of under dresses, then three piles of t shirts. Behind the wall are jeans that don't fit and things to be fixed. I have daydreams about taking all the shelving out (it is too wide and at the wrong height), maybe removing the pipe remnants at the back (if it doesn't involve removing floorboards at great cost), and making new storage to do exactly what I want. Maybe even with enough room for all my boots, which currently live on the floor outside my bedroom.

But better than clothes, even better than boots, is TRIVIAL PURSUIT.

I don't really count this as a proper press, as it's too shallow and never had a door, but I think it is what estate agents here refer to as "heritable storage". And here is where I put all my editions of Triv, although as you can see I have overspilt. To the left: Deluxe, 20th Century, Millennium, Globetrotters, Baby Boomers, 1980s, IMPOSSIBLE Book Lovers, "6". To the right: US version of 1990s, UK version of 1990s, TV edition, DVD Disney, DVD Lord of the Rings, DVD Pop Culture and DVD general. Behind Gandalf and Eowyn are Silver Screen and original extra questions. Underneath: War of the Wedges (the gadgets), the French family version, RPM (music) and then the yearly versions they did, 1992-1999 except 1994. On the table are original, 10th anniversary, and Bet You Know It. Which I think is 29 versions. I also have a set of "R&R" questions I bought in the US, 3 tie-in trivia books and a Trivial Pursuit thing from a Happy Meal.

Since I stopped living with Alice and Jen and started having to actually organise games instead of just play them, I have missed it. I think there are 10 versions I haven't even played. GOD I LOVE TRIV.

I went out today with a specific mission of trying to find charity shop jeans. I went to 8 different shops and tried on about 12 pairs of jeans. None of them fit properly. There were a few that were almost right, but too loose on the thigh. Jeans that fit how I like on the thigh (tightly like a Principal Boy) tend not to have room for my stomach, which is unkind of them. I came home to discover that I had won some jeans on ebay that I bid on in an apparent fit of optimism. We shall see how that goes when they arrive.
