I have started packing up my books. There are now huge piles that I have decided I don't want to pay to ship to my parents' and possibly then for storage. I'm going to take the excess girlsown and try to sell them to the local children's bookshop, but I thought I'd see if any of you might want them. £1 plus P&P for paperbacks, £2.50 plus P&P for hardbacks, except the Wells books, which I'll do for half what Abe lists for similar condition, edition, and wrapper. The Rosanna one is a photocopied jacket, but the others are lovely.

Let me know if you'd like more info on condition or titles or anything. I'll be taking unwanted books to the shop at the start of next week, so let me know before then if you want anything.

Cripes, if this is what you're selling I really really want to see your book room.

Currently it is mostly boxes! It is sad to be packing them up when I had them all out so beautifully, but I hope one day to have a book room again.

Used to look like this:

I will be very sad not to sleep in that book room again, it felt a little like my spiritual second bedroom.

Maybe one day! I'm keeping the flat, after all, and I do hope that one day I'll move back here and take up residence with all my books again. And finally get those built in bookshelves.

If you could make a definitive plan to move back, re-shelve and have me to stay for another Edinburgh Festival long weekend, that'd be great. I like to have everything lined up in advance. Thanks!

Wow, your bookroom!
That tottering pile of books looks strangely like parts of my collection, what a surprise.

Sure! All HB in wrapper about vg-, except Rosanna with photocopy, and the secret which is ggbp. Have a think, could you let me know either way by Friday if you want any?

Have you had a think about the Wells books?

Hello - sorry for being complete and total rubbish, didn't get time to sit down with ABE until tonight. And have been agonising a bit as I own them all already, just in a different bloody country.

Could I have the below, please? (which I have in HB)? ABE prices are below but you might want to check I've got it right.

Dream of SW: £40 for first / £15 for 2nd ed
Veronica: £12
No Castanets: £8
Masquerade: £7
Jane: £12
Ella: £10
Return: £12

Tried to justify Vicki but couldn't quite :)

Those prices look right to me, half is £35.5, but I've had a look and some of the wrappers are a little more chipped than I remembered (but still nice) and Masquerade has a little bit of cosmetic damage to the boards - so I thought £30, if that's okay? And the weight is coming out at £11 on Parcelforce. So £41 total. If you email me your address I'll get them packaged up!

I am interested in the Dorothea Moores: A Plucky Schoolgirl, Septima Schoolgirl, Nicky of Nine Schools, and Fen's First Term. Also in the two Laura ballet books, and the Cherry Ames. I am restraining myself over the Lorna Hills... Any idea what postage might come to?

They're 2560g all together, and the royal mail calculator says £14 for postage - £30 all in, if that's okay?

If you change your mind about Lorna Hill restraint, let me know, and I'll check with you if [livejournal.com profile] wonderlanded ends up passing!

That sounds good, but I just need to check on a couple of the Dorothea Moores to make sure I am not duplicating. Will confirm tonight...

ETA: Have now seen your other post...

Not duplicating with those, so all of them please! Could you add them to the others and let me know a total and how you'd like me to pay...

Hurray! I shall wait until [livejournal.com profile] medland lets me know about the Danziger books and check back with you, then calculate all the postage etc. Would you be able to paypal me when I've worked it out? And if you can email your address to my lj email then I'll be able to package it all up.

I think Medland doesn't want the Danzigers, so you have the next pick of them!

Could I have the E.M. Channon books, please? The three I could see were The Honour of the House, The Cinderella Girl, and Two from Miss something-or-other's.

Sure - there's a fourth, which is A Countess at School if you don't already have that one?

From: [identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com
Hello, can you email me your address to my lj email? And let me know if you want Countess at School as well.

OMG, so much here I don't even know where to start.

So... please can I have the 20 you think would best suit someone who loves EBD, EJO and DFB? If you could email/message me titles so I could just check I don't have them (I have all the Wells books), that would be brilliant. But honestly? SO MANY there that I really don't know how to choose.

(And yes, I realise it will be extortionate postage on top of £50, but - but but but I DON'T CARE.)

No, it isn't - it's the most unimaginative sabethea@gmail.com :)

Yes they are! Send me your address to my lj email and I'll post them on Monday.
