The last thing that made me laugh was a Reacher book, where a chapter opens with: "I had never eaten yogurt myself but I had seen some and my impression was that individual portions came in small pots about two inches wide". I'm not sure that I believe that Reacher hasn't eaten any yoghurt - or was it not as common a thing when he would have been growing up (1970s, I think)? Or maybe his family couldn't get it easily when they were trailing the Marines around the world (but don't US bases have those PX or whatever where you can get US basics pretty easily?). Maybe he's never spoken to anyone called Tom, either.

I learned today (well, according to Wikipedia) which country has the only ambassador based in Liechtenstein. Anyone want to guess? I was going to do a poll but I haven't. I was also going to do a poll about knowledge of South Sudan, but I'm not sure I have enough knowledge to actually make one. And I think quizzes are only fun if you know about half to two thirds of the answers properly (less and I feel left out, more and I feel it's too easy to enjoy). Actually I think Jess did one about Sudan a while ago and I only knew one answer, I should dig it out and see if I know any more now. And if I don't I can blame it on North-centricity and the change in political circumstances since whenever it was.

I have a huge craving to go clothes shopping, particularly charity shopping, and browsing on ebay, and wear tights and boots and layers. Also I want to go to the sort of event that requires proper posh evening dress - I would hate the event and feel out of place, but I want to have to have a proper posh frock, long, and maybe with a bit of a pouffy skirt.

One of my boss's phrases is "calls me every time they take a solid shit" for people who want handholding through everything. This meant that I did in fact gchat her the other day, because I'd had my first solid bowel movement for at least 6 months, and my bottom found it very surprising.
