Oh, and I was going to ask what good online sales people had noticed? Not so much big things like Debehamns, John Lewis, but smaller/more specialist shops that might be easily overlooked.

I've put in an order at Modcloth for this dress and some Galaxy leggings. I bought a whole bunch of ebooks for 90% off from from http://www.versobooks.com, and then bought The Grand Sophy from http://www.hive.co.uk and the new Chalet School encyclopaedia and prequel from www.ggbp.co.uk completely not in the sale. Oh, and not to buy now, but http://www.marginnotesbooks.com/ are publishing A Circling Star by Mara Kay (they did the Masha two last year I think) AND a fully new book by Clare Mallory.

And you might also like to peruse my ebay listings, wherein you can find Bravissimo/Pepperberry bras and clothes, a Kaliko dress and a Mantaray tunic/jumper.

A new book by Clare Mallory?!

How does one actually purchase books from Margin Notes, though? The website seems devoid of contact information.

Huh, I don't know. When I've ordered from them before they had actual links up with the pictures of the books and they took paypal. Maybe when they're ready they'll have those up again? But then why don't they have links for the ones that are available? Some are available on Amazon.

A new book! I really liked Candy Nevill. I don't know where they get them, maybe they're in contact with her literary executors?

I've only read the Merry books and Juliet Overseas, which I liked a lot aside from some weirdness about Maori princesses in Juliet. Candy Nevill sounds super charming. What a find, at least two unpublished mss. Though I don't suppose the Merry In Australia book is among them.

Maybe they're having a break and will put the links back up at some point? But if that's the case, why not just say 'we're having a break, will deal with incoming orders on X Jan'?

Your dress link takes me to boxer shorts with hearts on (being worn by a pug.) Might be a bit of a draughty choice above the waist but I ain't anyone to comment on that sort of thing.

I think I have fixed it now. I do not like hearts, so I'm not sure the boxers would be my thing.

BOOZE! Good choice, infinitely better than hearts.

Ages ago I bought one with clouds and AIRPLANES on it, but it was too small.

AIRPLANES!

I want a dress with COWS on. But they're expensive.

:/

Mind you, you can choose style/print/size and they'll make it to order. If you like mad prints take a butchers.

www.nomadsclothing.com has some good reductions. I'm done with them now, so buy away. Too expensive for me at their normal prices but I do like some of their stuff.

I purchased a red tunic dress (50% off) and the white skirt that's 70% off, and is mildly daring for me. The velvet coats are their loveliest things though - my mother got me one for Christmas last year, and it makes me feel like a wizard.

Thanks for the Verso tip - I will shortly be incredibly well informed.

I hope that I can absorb the knowledge just by loading them onto my Nook, because I've got at least two Jilly Cooper novels to get through before I even pretend I'm going to read them.
