Interview this morning went well, I thought. They specifically said it was the last round of interviews.

However, 4 hours later, I have an email asking if the current postholder can call me for a follow up chat tomorrow. Good sign??? Bad sign??? I suppose it can't be ruling me out of the running all together, or they'd not bother talking again. But equally clearly I can't have aced the interview of they'd have everything they need already!

Or it's just you but they've just thought of something they really should have mentioned earlier (e.g. successful applicant would be required to attend the State Opening of Parliament dressed as a swan, etc.) and want to make sure you can do that too.

When this happened to me with the E&D job, it turned out that potential!boss thought that I would be bored and was too good for the job and I had to reassure her that I really didn't mind that I'd be doing lots of theoretically dull admin... I shall hope it's something similar.
