A director was rude about Keira Knightley. This is bad. But it meant that lots of other directors said nice things about her because she is AWESOME and he was wrong, so that was good. I hope she doesn't mind too much.

I wake up about 6:30 these days, which is almost pleasant. I don't have to rush to get out of bed, I don't feel too exhausted, but I don't plan to keep it up when I am home again.

I am browsing flatshare sites in London, though I'm not planning on contacting anyone until I'm back. I keep seeing places that look quite nice, but then the inhabitants are all early twenties (not in itself a problem) who like parties (massive problem). Or they are rooms with no communal space, and I think if I'm going to share I'd rather have it feel a bit more sociable. There was one place that looked lovely, but then it turned out the the owner slept in the kitchen/living room, so you only had access to these rooms between 8am and 9pm. Apparently that's worked really well for her in the past. I've been looking at moveflat, spareroom and gumtree, but any other suggestions appreciated.

I had seen a reference to some director being rude about KLK, and I may even have gone so far as to say "Tchah!" OUT LOUD, as I knew this would be something of which you would not approve, quite rightly. She may not be my person, but my friends' persons should not be dissed. I am glad other directors stood up for her.

I am currently reading a C18 celebrity gossip history book, which has a lot of references to Georgiana, Duchess of Devonshire, which means I visualise pleasing images of Keira Knightley in posh Georgian frocks every time I come across one of them.

I am very glad for your OUT LOUD Tchah! And people have been noticing that he only singled out the woman in his film for "not revealing her true self" or whatever shit that was, and said the men were great.

Sorry I can't be of help re housing, but good luck! I am disappointed that there are more people than I thought who rent out rooms in their homes but don't want to be inconvenienced by another human being doing human things in their space.

The director has since apologised for all the terrible things he said about Keira Knightley, though I think he's still probably a bit of a knob.
