My mooncup arrived today. It looks rather scary. I mean, I know that my vagina can accept something that size, but still. Even folding it's rather daunting. So far I have been having fun twirling it around my wrist in the bag-on-ribbon it came in (hit my chin, twice) and wearing it in the manner of a monocle. I do intend to boil it before use. May well attempt trial run at some point over the weekend.

I've thought about buying one of those. Currently I use a disposable product http://www.softcupcom and LOVE it. It would be even better to never have to buy something again. I hope you keep us posted!

I hadn't realised that therre was a disposable version. I will definitely keep you posted! Should it be successful, I will no doubt be evangelising to all and sundry!

I really should get a digital camera. Then you could truly share in the moment.

I reckon we'd all be willing to chip in, for the sake of that one image alone. ;o)

Good luck.

It is perhaps a strange thing to be wished luck with, and yet I will wish it anyway. :)

No, I think luck will be needed! Along with lubrication and time.

Yep. I think there might be subtle differences, but general principle of cup to cactch blood is the same.

I saw one the other day in an organic shop and it said for women who've given birth only. I'm not sure why that is or if that's even true but if you haven't given birth it may be worth checking that out just in case. I'm going for the organic towels/tampons option to be more ethical and green but avoided the mooncup because of that.

Ok panic over. What I saw was one that was designed for women who have given birth vaginally because their muscles are different. There are two types and I read more about it here. Good luck with the testing!

Yes - I checked when it came to make sure it was 'B' not 'A'!
