Mooncup in place, and surprisingly I can't feel a thing. I mean, I know you're not supposed to be able to, and I do know that you can't feel tampons, but it's so much bigger than a tampon, that I couldn't quite believe that there wouldn't be some kind of discomfort. It was a little awkward putting it in - I decided to steer clear of the bathroom this time, in case of an unfortunate rebound incident - and I'm not particularly confident about taking it out easily, but I think it's good. Oh, if only it was a different make I'd have said "it's a Keeper"! Ahaha. But then the moon-ocle (retired) wouldn't have worked so well.

I got sterilising tablets for baby bottles - I figured that they would be sufficiently gentle yet cleansing. Plus, it's 60 tablets for 84p, and since it only takes half a tablet to sterilise, that should last me for the next ten years, easily. Except that they're best before 2009. Still.

I am going to tidy my room. I was going to do it last night, but I am definitely going to do it today. At some point. I have In America to watch while I do it, and cookies to eat as a reward for getting to certain points. I think the first milestone might have to be "turn off computer".

Oh, and there are RAW ONIONS in the fridge. Guess what my apples taste of? That's right. On the plus side, I now have cheese again, so I can have pizza-bread, cheese and apples, cheese on toast, cheese on crackers and sprinkled on top of spag bog.

Congratumalations on Mooncup success!

Cheese? Cheese is good. They don't have proper cheese in Germany. However, I have discovered that they sell Cathedral City in the English shop, so might have to partake at some point. Even if it is extortionately priced. Le sigh. ;-)

I only eat cheddar cheese, but I think that living without it would be very difficult, and entirely undesirable. If I thought that it a) clear customs and b) not get messed up in transit, I would send you some level 6 mature cheddar.

Cheese! My mouth's watering at the thought of that mature cheddar... When I went home at Christmas, Jenn made me a cheese and ham roll and you'd have thought she'd given me the moon...

Well done for persevering with the mooncup. I only know one person who I know uses one, but she swears by it. Have you come across the LJ 'support' community [livejournal.com profile] menstrual_cups? I've no idea how useful it is, but I've seen it mentioned.

Yay CHEESE!

[livejournal.com profile] theladiesloos is actually quite good for advice of this sort - I've been reading a few of their threads on the subject. And I haven't managed to take it out yet, so there's still that obstacle to overcome! But in general feeling quite positive.

Oooh but saying "it's a keeper" when it's a mooncup is even better in many ways yay:) Also yay for the comfortable and the workingness (I assume it is working as well as being comfortable yes). Mmmmmm onions and apples and cheese on toast mmmmmmm.

I think it's working - I haven't checked yet.

No, BOOOOOO onions (which I hate) but yay appleas and cheese on toast. The raw onions belong to Ese, and they are invading the taste of everything I have in the fridge. This is bad.

No, surely not?

Strange but true!

Although I've partially solved the problem by eating the onion-tasting apples with cheese. It masks the taste enough to be bearable. But her response when I asked her to make sure that she bagged them was "yeah, but I don't have any bags, so". THERE'S SOME IN THE DRAWER! I TOLD YOU TO USE THEM LAST TIME YOU INFECTED MY FOOD. Ahem.

P.S. Am watching remainder of Blake's 7. Am in love with Vila. And Avon. And Jenna, who keeps getting hit on by the people on the planet they're on to try and save Ban.

::DANCES YOU:: Be at least a tiny bit in glove iwth Blake too. Or pretend. Just pretend you are for me to be happy. But being in love with everyone else is important too and omg I LOVE JENNA LIKE THE LOVELY THING SHE IS OMG. Who is Ban? I don't know. I drank wine. I am lost. OMG Gan? I love GAN. I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM I LOVE HIM BEYOND ALL REASON OF LOVE.

Date: 2005-02-06 09:54 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com
Oh, Gan sounds likely. Larger chap, yes? Cannot remember the names. I just finished the one where Jenna betrays them. It was fantastic. I'm all over people turning eviler (see Sharpe, Jane). I am a little bit in love with Blake because he is masterful and in charge. I like the others better because they are unruly, and Blake does not seem to be as evil as the others.

Eeeeeeeeeeee! Jenna being bad. And Cally being mental. And Avon undoing the door while Vila is working on the necklaces which are collars and omg ogm omg that is one of my favourite scenes of b7 ever and I think it has hidden depth which is not so hidden but is way deep and also Cally is clearly crazy and should be locked up and I love Blake s7 and you should totally come here and watch series 2 with me so you should and we could do it marathon style with icecream and brownies. Series 2 is the best series of television ever made and has at least . . . 150 minutes of sheer brilliance of blow minding dimensions. YAY BLAKE!LOVE!!!1! He is so evil, just on the inside and Avon sees it even if you don't but Avon and Jenna and Vila with the being crooked at heart is very pleasing in a way other shows are not yes. Eeeeeeeee!:)

Date: 2005-02-06 10:08 am (UTC)
From: [identity profile] slemslempike.livejournal.com
Eeeeeeeeeee yes! Cally constantly has a wild look in her eyes which is pleasing because it means she might snap at any point even when she's doing something apparently innocuous.

Marathon style with BROWNIES! BROWNIES and BLAKE'S 7! That would be infinitely fabulous and gleeful. When do you have Blake's 7 s2?

Vila just said "counting yourself that's two people who think you're wonderful"!!!!! I've been waiting for that bit.

OMG DELIVERANCE!!111!!1!!!11!!!!!!1 ::marries Avon liek now:: And omg Meegat and he holds her hand and omg Vila and Gan both being like omg so excellence and you are nearly at the end of series 1 omg.

I have season 2 omg I do I do! I have both the videos and the dvds and everything possibly necessary:) Come and watch and we will eat brownies and drink wine and you will fall in love with Blake properly and fully because I WILL MAKE YOU WITH MY POWERS YAY!!11 You can pick yourself any weekend which is not the weekend of glorious Redemption and come and live here with me and we will watch all series 2 and you will cry tears of having seen the wonderful truthfulness of joy! (And a few tears about omg Travis2:(:(:( but don't worry because that is getableoverable yay.) Gambit! SHADOW!!!1 REDEMPTION!!! HORIZON!!11111111111 All the episodes of fabulousness reside in series 2:) Aaaaaaaaaan, if you come next weekend then you will have totally seen enough of Blake's 7 to justify coming to the convention known as Redemption the weekend or two after that. Hurrah yes.

Yay! I will look at which weekends (I'm not sure what's happening with Che yet, and my parents are coming to stay soon, so I have to work out what's when) and reconvene. Which weekend is Redemption? (Which I'm almost certainly not going to go to, but I am intending to go to Connotations. Because you hve corrupted me.) I did check train times though, and would it be okay if I came on Friday and left early Monday? Because the train companies are "helpfully" improving the track at weekends, so anything north of Preston is by bus, which I can't stand.

I knew you would ask about redemption but dates hide from me I looked it up and it is the 24th ish of February so it is very very close and that is exciting. In all likelihood this is actually muchly too soon for you to in any way be persuaded to come but you still should cos it will rock rockingly but yay connotations (my corruptingness is great yay). Come go as you please yes and whenever you feel like omg the trains are the suckingest schedule of trains ever invented it is because the lake district is special so we have to somehow stop the people from coming here maybe. ::dances you with silver leather and omg HOOKER BOOTS EEEEEeee::

Hurray hurray hurray it is a plan! Yay! Even a plan with times in it making it a Proper Plan Properly Planned yes. Oxenholme Station? I will totally remember to pick you up:) I will even buy food. Yes. Yay:)

(And I should give warning that it is the snooker final but I want to watch B7 way more than I want to watch that but I warn you that there will be snooker excitement in the air and some checking of scores but I will not force you to watch any I swear:)

Date: 2005-02-14 05:11 am (UTC)

Oh, the times were for Kendal station. Is Oxenholme easier? I will investigate to see if that is also doable.

I can watch bits of snooker. I may ask annoying questions, but I can watch it!

Ah, no. Kendal and Oxenholme are as easy as each other. Oxenholme is literally two minutes away if you're having to wait to link to trains, though. Otherwise I will meet you at Kendal because that is all walkable and everything:)

There are no annoying questions. Snooker is yayful in every possible way.

It's a direct train to Kendal, so that's probably easiest all round, unless Virgin or whoever's running it get all arsey. Shall I bring things? Apart from s1 of Blake and the last Sharpe disc which I have been forgetting to post back for the last two weeks, of course.

Here following links from New_Atalanta, and I wanted to say that I've used Instead for years. They are more like a diaphram in where they sit, but it's the same principal. I wouldn't change back to tampons, although I have to say that the changing/washing out thing in public places can be a bit... awkward at times.

Good luck with it.
