Happy Easter.
Apr. 24th, 2011 04:00 pmI have installed Return to Castle Wolfenstein on my laptop, which I played for a while ages ago, but got stuck because it was downloaded and the cheat codes wouldn't work. (I don't like playing games without cheat codes, as I am really not very good. I usually try to do it without cheating at first, but then I reach a stage where the only thing I have left to try is to walk through walls. (IDCLIP.)) So I got a proper disc version of the game from a charity shop, but unfortunately the codes online don't seem to be implementable through Windows 7. Last time I was playing this I somehow managed to make a Nazi leap, but I've forgotten how that happened and haven't been able to replicate it. And I keep accidentally picking up chairs and not being able to put them down.
I also got Tomb Raider II - I never got around to Tomb Raider when I was younger, and I'm not that impressed so far. I've only played a little bit, but I have been impaled on knives and stuck in swamps, and not had anyone to shoot. Also it is annoying that sometimes I am looking at Lara instead of where she's going.
My family are all trying to work out what Olympics tickets to apply for. I am not doing it, as next summer seems a little too far in advance to plan things, and also August is fringe month. Though there are women's football matches being played in Glasgow, which is actually quite tempting, if it weren't £20 for a ticket and then £6 for delivery. And maybe I won't be in Scotland next summer anyway. I shall enjoy watching things on TV, and then if I'm in Scotland in 2014 I can see some Commonwealth games stuff, like Gymnastics.
