Miscounted backstroke

This morning when I was swimming I miscounted my backstrokes and smashed my head into the tiles. And the week is going to continue to be this horrible until about Thursday evening.

It would comfort me greatly to know that it is not in fact the case that everyone else is doing brilliantly, so if you would like to have a grump in the comments, that would be lovely. Sod positivity.

Ouch! I've done that once since commencing the current bout of swimming. Whenever we do backstroke now (and we do have to) I stop and turn around to look all the time, often halfway along the pool, and get criticised for it. Hope your head is not still hurting.

And - it seems I hadn't stopped smoked quite so successfully as I'd thought.

There is a line on the ceiling and I usually have 4/5 strokes before the wall then, and mostly I turn too soon and paddle the last bit anyway. But today I got confused and suddenly there was the wall. It is much better now, thank you.

Oh dear.
