I have a camera phone, and I have taken a picture with it. I do not have usb or bluetooth or anything so fancy. I would like to retrieve the photo from my phone and onto my computer. Is there a way that this could happen? If I sent it as a photo message to someone more technologically advanced than I could they then email it to me? If so, could that person be you?

I'd like to know the answer to this, too!

It has worked! I sent it as a picture message to [livejournal.com profile] simply_fly_away who was lovely and offered, and it has just arrived in my inbox.

With my phone when you get to the send part you can just type in an email address instead of a phone number. That's how I get my pictures off of it.

I see you've solved the immediate need, but just to say I'd happily do this any time, if you need it again.

Depending on the resolution of your phone's camera, you might find that the photo e-mailed back to you was of lower resolution than the photo as it was originally taken: by default, your phone will generally scale down an image before sending it in a photo message, though you should be able to set that on your phone. (Sorry if all that's irrelevant! It just caught me out at one point.)
