Nov. 3rd, 2013 02:09 pmToday I am wearing pyjamas again, with the added bonus that I don't have to leave the house, so I can wear them ALL DAY. I am wearing a Hole t shirt instead of the hoody, as it's sunny out and my flat is warmer. So instead of repeating a clovember post, I thought you might like to see (or, rather, I would like to show you) my week-old skiing bruise.

I am going again tomorrow, and I quite hope to be able to add to my collection. I really enjoyed it, and I am considering signing up for the next lot of lessons directly after these ones finish, and maybe going up to Aviemore early next year for a day or so. Last week was my first time ever on an artificial slope, and I found it completely alien when I first got on it. I'm more comfortable now, and my main thing is trying to go slowly enough to focus on technique when I want to wheeeee down the slope. I think, also, that I could quite happily spend hours going up the slope on the tug lift thing. It's so soothing. I fell over a few times, a couple of times when getting off the lift at the station that involves getting yourself far enough over a dip not to slide back, while also letting go before you're on your way to the next station, and also a couple of times at the bottom of the slope when queuing for the lift when I forgot that you can't walk in skis. Not on the slope though. I think I was quite good on the slope.
And then I tried on the dress I got a new zip in to see if I want to wear it to my aunt's wedding (with blue DMs), and I think the answer is yes.

I think I need some white or light blue tights to go with it, so probably John Lewis to the rescue.
